Ace Combat 7 - Assault Horizon

Well, it's about damn time ^_^. Though I am late in discovering this, I have learned that the next console installment of the Ace Combat video game series is going to be called Ace Combat 7: Assault Horizon, and it will be released in 2011 for the Playstation 3 and XBox 360 game systems. While I still thoroughly enjoy Ace Combat 6 and its glorious music, I have long been ready for the next challenge in this game series. I just hope that there are more missions to complete in this upcoming game, because I felt that the storyline in Ace Combat 6 was a little too short, even thought it was great fun.

Namco has put out an official trailer for Ace Combat 7 and it has really intrigued me. In the trailer, it appears that you can pilot Apache combat helicopters and even be the door gunner of a Blackhawk helicopter. Also, the music that they presented in the trailer sounds good, though it seemed more on the “Rock & Roll mixed with orchestrals” side. I’m looking forward to listening to the full CD track!

But, judge for yourself. Here is the trailer for Ace Combat 7: Assault Horizon.

I kind of thought the same thing too, but I was glad that I was wrong when I heard that they released Ace Combat: Joint Assault for the PSP and now Ace Combat 7 for the popular console systems.

I'm especially eager to get my hands on the soundtrack CD of Ace Combat 7. From the preview above, it sounds like they did a remix of the Liberation of Gracemeria track from Ace Combat 6...and I like it ^_^.
